I had the total pleasure of being on The Body and Food Freedom Podcast with my colleague, friend, and host Vanessa Preston.

We spoke for so long that she decided to make this a 2 part episode!

How the early messages we send to our kids about eating (have more, it’s not time to eat, eat this not that) cause children to distrust their own cues and their body. How body talk, of any kind, leads kids into comparing their body to the so-called ideal and to begin to believe that their worth is found in their appearance. Tips for body neutral language you can use around your house and how to cultivate an attitude of “all bodies are good bodies” and gratitude for what our body can do rather than focusing on how our body looks. How we can teach our kids to honor their own bodies cues in order to build body trust and autonomy.
